Mark Thompson joined Fairchild in November 2004 as Executive Vice President, Manufacturing and Technology group. He became President and Chief Executive Officer in May 2005 and was elected Chairman of the Board in May 2008. He has over 23 years of high technology experience. Prior to joining the company, Mark had been Chief Executive Officer of Big Bear Networks since August 2001. He was previously Vice President and General Manager of Tyco Electronics, Power Components Division and, prior to its acquisition by Tyco, was Vice President of Raychem Corporation’s Electronics OEM division. Mark is a director of American Science and Engineering, Inc.
