Thanks for the write up Melissa,

The idea is definitely strike the balance here between something thats fun to watch for a reasonably wide audience, while also just telling it like it is and capturing the natural drama that goes with working all hours through ups and downs building online businesses.

Keep in touch, as we're going to be pushing out plenty of content online as the series is being filmed, and if all goes well, we'll be widening the scope beyond the first series and New Zealand... You seem to have done some pretty cool things getting the spotlight on the businesses you've worked with,

Cheers,
Tim.

just want to mention that I am Canadian and have been eating both smarties and M&Ms for as long as i can remember - meaning m&ms are in fact available in Canada Im in Ontario so they are and have been available for yrs where i live seeing as though i have been eating them for ages and im 25 now. just thought id let you know that they are both available in Canada and that i prefer smarties over m&ms unless we are referring to peanut center m&ms and then they win coz smarties do not offer an option!

Thanks Casey. Perhaps Portland is the home to ethical PR?! Nice to meet (virtually) meet another colleague in the area. Another good and fair blog post on this topic was posted by Rob Jewell on his PR on the Run blog.

Solid blog posting, John. As PR professionals, we should brush-off Cohen's asinine comments. However, they were made on a fairly reputable program (one that I watch every Sunday). So I applaud your post and encourage other PR folks to raise a stink about this guys unwarranted comments.

Thanks for your thoughts & feedback. I agree with Ben & think MoPR is better positioned than most PR firms to adapt to the changing landscape of how media is distributed & read.

It's great that MoPR actively researches emerging technologies & understands how it effects the way consumers get their information. I think you really nailed it here:

"Struggling print media need all the help they can get. Using new media and technology such as focused, niche search engines and setting up easy to subscribe to RSS feeds is a great start for publishers to help add value to their content, keep readers – even gain readers – and more importantly nab ad revenue."

Technology is our friend, not the enemy.

Thanks for writing up the session guys, enjoyed reading your thoughts & getting your take on the information we presented. It's also great to know that you guys are 'on the ball' when it comes to search, but still found value in the discussion.

Wouldn't mind getting your feedback on our follow-up post "SEO for PR" on our blog! http://www.amplify-interactive.com/blog/2008/05/23/seo-for-pr/
