I too came from equatorial climate (Malaysia) where the weather didn't change much from day to day so people simply do not read weather reports. The only thing people care about was the probability of rainfall, but that in itself is quite unpredictable. I'd just like to add a self-plug for MojiPage - a personalized mobile start page. We have an AccuWeather widget available for our users to add to their page. Cost: free.
