Mapping the News of the World
I came upon this very cool visual and I had to share it:

What you see above was generated today. Come back tomorrow and the image will be different.
Click on the red circles to get even more data about news generated in that region. As a PR person, I find this tool to be extremely cool. Imagine including search parameters specific to an announcement or campaign, or even a company’s ticker symbol into the algorithms used to generate this image. Web 2.0 is getting cooler all the time.
